PS5 update improves DualSense, system and more; see notes
Remember the promised PS5 update detailed in February by Sony? Patch 9.00 has arrived and players can now enjoy all the improvements promised by PlayStation, such as improvements to DualSense, Screen Sharing and more.
You will now be able to enjoy better sound quality through the control, edit the brightness of the power indicator, and interact with viewers when you Share Screen. Want to know more? Follow below:
PS5 Update: Patch 9.00 The device software for the DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers has been updated to improve sound capabilities.The controller's speakers can now produce a louder sound volume, allowing you to hear the sounds of the game and voice chat audio more clearly. The quality of these controllers' microphone inputs has been improved with a new AI machine learning model. Background noise from button presses and game audio is suppressed, resulting in a better voice chat experience. You can now adjust the brightness of your PS5's power indicator. Go to Settings > System > Beep & Light and , then select Brightness.New features have been added to Parties and Screen Sharing.Players watching Screen Sharing can use pointers and emojis to interact with the presenter's game.Viewers can use a pointer or indicate a specific location on the game screen with a ping.Viewers can also send emoji reactions.This feature is available when the host activates the Viewer Interactions feature in Screen Sharing settings.Unicode 15.1 emoji compatible. You can now use them in messages.Updated the device software for the DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers, PlayStation VR2 headset, PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers, and Access controller to improve stability.Improved the performance and stability of system software. Improved messaging and usability on some screens.
