According to journalist Tom Henderson, the game will once again offer a first-person experience, with the aim of being a tactical team shooter, but also taking inspiration from Modern Warfare, Battlefield and Ready Or Not.
The game will be based on a fictional conflict, called the Naiman War, in a hostile country that has witnessed hundreds of thousands of deaths as a result of war crimes. The plot should revolve around the “Ghosts” – your team – infiltrating the war zone to carry out secret missions and locate a traitor.
“The game appears to take heavy inspiration from the Modern Warfare series, with some potentially dark or controversial missions or segments. One mission, for example, has your team almost shooting a man holding a baby – because they thought the baby was a bomb – but they realize it at the last second,” says Henderson.
The new Ghost Recon has not yet been officially announced by Ubisoft, so caution should be taken regarding this information.
