Mortal Kombat 1: Not even the Peacemaker respects Quan Chi

 


Last Thursday (22), Mortal Kombat 1 received the trailer that revealed gameplay excerpts from Peacemaker, a new DLC character who also doesn't respect Quan Chi, just like anyone else in the history of the most recent title from NetherRealm.

Quan Chi is a character who was introduced in animation and made his first appearance in games in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero as the main antagonist.

Since then, the wizard has become a figure to be feared, mainly due to his dynamic with Shang Tsung, which often placed him on an equal footing with the franchise's main villain.


However, with the new version of the character in Mortal Kombat 1, everything seems to have been reversed and what was once a powerful wizard and a figure to be feared, becomes comic relief and just another simple obstacle for the heroes.

A point that is even more exposed with the recent trailer for Peacemaker, in which not even the goofy character played by John Cena fears or respects the being with magical powers with the provocations before the fight starts.


It's... not the best of days for Quan Chi or fans of the character. We just have to wait for a different version in the seasons that restores the antagonist to the position of an important figure in the NetherRealm universe.

PS2 sold 160 million units

 The PlayStation 2 is to date Sony's biggest success and the best-selling console of all time. In the last official update we had from the company, it was stated that the hardware had passed the 155 million units sold mark. Embracer sold Gearbox for $460 million to Take-Two

  After a failed $2 billion negotiation, Embracer Group has been slowly closing or selling its studios. After selling Saber Interactive for $247 million, now it's Gearbox Entertainment's turn. The studio known for the Borderlands franchise was officially separated from Embracer and sold for $460 million to Take-Two, which previously served as the publisher of the Borderlands IP.
