Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 patch provides access to developer menu; mentions DLC

 


This Thursday (7), Insomniac Games released the New Game+ patch for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In addition to the mode, we also have new costumes.

However, Insomniac Games was made aware on X (Twitter) of an issue with the update: it allows players to access a developer menu. Insomniac Games explains that there is “a hotfix on the way,” but using this menu may “corrupt your saves and trophy progress.”

Still, fans who explored the update quickly took to Reddit after discovering some news. In this case, references were found to Beetle's DLC, which had already been mentioned in the past due to the leak at Insomniac Games. The developer menu, however, reveals that it would be Janice Lincoln, the most recent iteration of the character.

For those who want to avoid the update, Insomniac has assured that there is “no risk associated with playing as intended.”

PS2 sold 160 million units

 The PlayStation 2 is to date Sony's biggest success and the best-selling console of all time. In the last official update we had from the company, it was stated that the hardware had passed the 155 million units sold mark. Embracer sold Gearbox for $460 million to Take-Two

  After a failed $2 billion negotiation, Embracer Group has been slowly closing or selling its studios. After selling Saber Interactive for $247 million, now it's Gearbox Entertainment's turn. The studio known for the Borderlands franchise was officially separated from Embracer and sold for $460 million to Take-Two, which previously served as the publisher of the Borderlands IP.
