Check out the releases of the week (19/03 to 22/03) for PS4 and PS5

 


The time has come when March brings great games to the PlayStation community. Among the week's releases, players will have several new AAA options to add to their library.

Firstly, we will have two titles from PlayStation Studios: The Rise of Ronin, an action game developed in partnership between Sony and Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja, and MLB The Show 24, the official and annual title of the North American baseball league.


Calm down, don't stop there. The long-awaited reboot of Alone in the Dark, starring actors David Harbor (Stranger Things) and Jodie Comer (Star Wars: Episode IX), finally arrives on PlayStation 5. Hi-Fi Rush, from Xbox Game Studios, also makes its debut on new generation console. Finally, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom’s famous RPG, will be released.

PS2 sold 160 million units

 The PlayStation 2 is to date Sony's biggest success and the best-selling console of all time. In the last official update we had from the company, it was stated that the hardware had passed the 155 million units sold mark. Now, during the newest episode of the Official PlayStation Podcast, which featured a special appearance from Jim Ryan himself, we have new data. During the program, the former head of PlayStation updated the numbers, stating that the console reached 160 million units sold. The number of 155 million was from March 2012, with the console having stopped being manufactured in January 2013. There may possibly no longer be a significant sales update, considering the lack of hardware availability. The hardware that came closest to the PS2 was the Nintendo DS portable, which reached 154 million units. Embracer sold Gearbox for $460 million to Take-Two

  After a failed $2 billion negotiation, Embracer Group has been slowly closing or selling its studios. After selling Saber Interactive for $247 million, now it's Gearbox Entertainment's turn. The studio known for the Borderlands franchise was officially separated from Embracer and sold for $460 million to Take-Two, which previously served as the publisher of the Borderlands IP. With this sale, Embracer expects it will help significantly reduce its current net debt. Despite the acquisition, some of Gearbox's previously owned branches and franchises will remain with Embracer.
